Mom’s Favorite Juice Recipes for health!

I’m sharing a couple of my favorite juice recipes.  I ALWAYS use organic produce when juicing because not only do they contain more antioxidants and nutrients, but they have less pesticides, no GMO, and some people (including me) claim that they just taste better.  Bottom line is, juice organic because it’s just better!

I also try to juice more vegetables than fruits because juicing too much fruit causes the body to consume more sugar, than it would if you just eat the whole fruit.  Eating the whole fruit allows your body to metabolize it much better because you are not removing it’s fiber.

Here are two of my favorite Recipes:

(Note: I wash all of my fruits and veggies with Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and give them a final rinse with filtered water)

1. Carrots are your friend…

  • 5 Organic Carrots, (leave skin on)
  • 2 ribs of celery
  • 2 leaves or romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 green apple
  • 1 thumb of Ginger

This recipe is delicious and has a bit of a kick from the ginger.  I started drinking this for cancer prevention but now I just drink it because I love it!

2. So Much More than Celery!

  • About 5-6 Ribs of Organic Celery, leaves and all!
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 green apple
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup chopped basil
  • 1 thumb of Ginger

I started to juice with celery after I found out about it’s cancer fighting properties.  Studies have actually shown that it kills all types of cancer cells and it is amazing for cancer prevention as well!  So, don’t forget to eat your celery!

P.S.  I’ll add more of my favorite recipes soon!
